This is the third and final blog post regarding my exciting adventure across Europe, with Contiki.
On the last leg of our tour, we visited Germany and Netherlands. We left for Germany via Austria and we got to see the breathtaking Alps! Our first destination was Munich. We toured around the city with Mike's bike tour, which I would highly recommend to any of you planning to go to Munich any time soon. He is super funny and entertaining and the tour was just so much fun. On a more serious note, after this we went to the Dachau Concentration Camp, which is the largest concentration camp in all of Munich. The vibes in that place made shivers run down my spine.
Afterwards, we went to see the Lorelei Rock and saw the famous Rhine Valley Beer Steins, because Germany is incomplete without its beer. We also went for some wine tasting later that day.
On our last day of the trip, there a bitter sweet feeling. I was going to miss this trip and everyone I met, but I was also starting to feel a little homesick. We visited a cheese farm and afterwards, we left for Amsterdam. As a farewell, we had a huge party with all of our fellow members of Contiki.
Finally, it was time to head back home. I am so thankful to Contiki and all of you guys for making this trip happen. It really was the trip of a lifetime. I'm taking home with me, so many good and fun memories.
